WHAT THE HECK IS A PENTACLE, PENTIGRAM? IS IT WICKED?

The pentacle is, as per the dictionary: a talisman, a magical object typically disk shaped and inscribed with a pentagram or other figure. Now, tell me the truth: You see, let's say, a woman walking towards you and she's wearing a pentacle around her neck, simply a five pointed star with one point aligned upwards and you say to yourself "STAY AWAY FROM THE WITCH". Or, you may say, "OH, NO A DEMON WORSHIPER". But what is I told you that the pentacle has been around for many many years. Oh yes. Did you know that:
    Tarot Reader
  • The Medal of Honor is a pentacle- Yes indeed Bob, the medal of honor, the highest medal for valor in combat is a pentacle. Also known as The Congressional Medal of Honor because the president awards it via Congress.
  • Did you know that the five points of the pentacle has been known to represent the five wounds of Christ.
  • That it has been widely used by past Christians as an amulet.
  • That it has been referred to the Star of Bethlehem.
  • That it's referred to as being the star that led the wise men to Jesus.
  • It also represents the five elements, air, fire, water, earth and the top point representing spirit. Used by the Wiccans in the religion of Wicca.
  • It also represents one of suits of the Tarot Cards. The suit of Pentacles, originally the coins. Also now, the suit of diamonds in playing cards.
The pentacle has long been worn as a protective measure or tool much like the cross. People carry their lucky rabbits foot, AA people carry around their marbles (this is a long story, I won't go into it now) but you get the pic.

Pentacle
Now, there is the inverted pentagram. This is the one you want to fear. This is the religious symbol of Baphomet or Satanism. The official symbol of The Church of Satan is that of the Sigil of Baphomet, also known as the inverted pentagram. See pic below.

THE STAR TAROT CARD

The Star Tarot Card is exactly what it implies. Hope!!!!, Guidance!!! Faith!!!! What happens when "We Wish Upon A Star"? Well, .......... this is what the Star Tarot Card represents. Just by looking at the card we think of peace, hope and forever wishes. The kneeling maiden that rejuvenates herself through the flowing waters is a forever process and this is what the star does, it's equals rejuvenation. The sky is blue, a beautiful blue, the grass is green. Colors have a lot to do with the tarot cards.  It's a beautiful and inspiring card. I've included three so that you can see how beautiful this card is. What could it possibly mean when it appears in a reading? If you have been going through a tough time, the star signifies that things will get better, there is hope and rejuvenation in the air. It could also mean that you are or will soon be a star. I'm not necessarily implying that you will be a movie star but a star in whatever it is that you are doing with your life. The star at your job, the star of the football team, so on. It also means that you will have a handle on things and feel like a star. It depends on what the other cards are present in your reading. All in all, it's a wonderful card to have appear in a reading.

THE STRENGTH TAROT CARD

Oh, so how to tame the beast? The Strength Tarot Card is not at all about physical strength, it's about another type of strength, inner power. If you look at the card there is a maiden, a young woman, taming a ferocious lion. She's not enforcing any brutal punishment on the beast she is simply placing her hand on it, caressing it and loving it. Who is this beast? This is me and you. We all have that beast inside of us that needs to be tamed at times. If you notice the infinity sign above her head, the infinity sign in this case pertains to both the beast and the maiden becoming one. She's making the lion a bit more like her and the lion is accepting this but when she needs to be more like the lion, she can be. So the beast, in this case the lion, always needs more, more food, mates or whatever it needs. It's ferocious needs consume him. The maiden may also have the same needs, but with self love she can tame these needs and wants just as she tames the lion.

You see this card is about you, not the lion. The beast itself is an example of enormous strength.

  • Do you need all the strength inside you to take on a challenge? You do have it. Love yourself and be patient with yourself and you will have the strength you need.
  • Are you trying to avoid some excesses in your life. Over eating, drugs, anything that is not making you feel good about yourself? Love yourself!!!! Be gentle and kind to yourself.
Don't get me wrong. Sometimes we have to be cunning like the lion to succeed. Do whatever it is you need to do to tame the beast inside you but also do all you can do to succeed over your challenge.
Also, generally speaking, when we see a wreath in a tarot card, this signifies VICTORY.  So, basically when you see this card in a reading you will be victorious with whatever challenges are ahead.

THE DEVIL TAROT CARD....HERE HE COMES

What a scary card to be dealt. We see the devil and automatically we think we are doomed to hell. From now on we might as well live in a cave because all that will follow is evil and bad luck. The devil sure does bring about these feelings. As ugly and as menacing as he may seem, the Devil is here to to inform us that we are human. Human beings forget that sometimes we have that little devil sitting on our shoulder going, "Go ahead, do it, no one will ever know". Or he may whisper in your ear, "One more is not going hurt". Yes, the Devil reminds us that we are all capable of addictions, over indulgence and doing bad things. As you look at the card you will notice two people a male and female with chains around their necks. They aren't really bonded to him, they can unchain themselves whenever they want. They seem to be there on their own free will. They seem pretty comfortable to me. The Devil is just looming over them and suggesting things to them. He is ugly and menacing . When we see the Devil in a reading, you need to ask yourself some questions. For instance:

  • Are you going through any addictions lately? Can't break free?
  • Or is someone you know bound to bad habits, addictions?
  • Are you thinking of cheating, breaking the law, running a muck? Is someone close to you a bad influence, or are they going through this?
  • Do you have bad habits that you wish you could break free from?
Just remember, we have choices with the Devil. He is in all of us. But we do have free will. If we really wanted to we could break free. This card could signify drug or alcohol addiction, shopping addiction, sex addiction, breaking the law, committing a crime, cheating on a spouse/mate. These all the possibilities with the Devil. But we don't have do live that life. When we see the Devil, just remember that your spirituality is suffering for some reason and you have to commit to getting back on track before it's too late. He is just letting you know that he's lurking over your shoulder. Break free from the Devil.

THE HIGH PRIESTESS TAROT CARD

The High Priestess. Wow. She is Beautiful!!!!! Who is she? The High Priestess is a calm and serene woman. She is certainly in control. She sits quietly in the forest in tune with nature waiting for you to call upon her. On her lap, she holds a scroll. Her intuition is keen. She knows all but doesn't announce it. She is very quiet about what she knows. She's the Moon Goddess. Just like to Moon Tarot card that holds intuitive powers, she is the same. A powerful, intuitive, peaceful and beautiful woman who does not have to prove herself to no one. She's almost holy. We all want what she has, that self confidence in all she does. Why? Because she knows things. In her scroll she holds secrets. Secrets about the universe, about nature, about everything. Beside her thrown, because remember, she is a goddess are two pillars. Each pillar has an initial, a B and a J. These initials go back to Solomon's Temple representing Jachin and Boaz. One is black and one is white. Negative vs. Positive. The High Priestess is very very intuitive, all knowing and very spiritual. Haven't you ever met anyone who reminds you of her. That man or woman who is self-confident, has little to say but always knows how to answer you. That person who seems grounded, nothing shakes them, seems to know what is coming down the path and isn't at all worried.

From the Rider-Waite Tarot Deck

  • When the High Priestess shows up in your reading, you may be asked to be a little more like her, intuitive, spiritual, practical, self confident, serene.
  • Or, could someone be holding back on you, is someone keeping secrets from you. The reader will be looking out for other cards in your reading, this may be the case.
  • Or, could you be holding a dear secret to yourself? Maybe you need to ask yourself if perhaps you should confide in someone. Sometimes keeping secrets is not good for you.
  • Or, maybe she's just letting you know that you should keep certain secrets to yourself right now.
All in all, the Moon Goddess, the High Priestess is a great card to show up in a reading. She is a positive card all the way. She may be telling us simply to keep healthy, mind, body and soul. She is in tune with the black and the white, the positive and the negative. She has accepted both good and bad and she has the wisdom to do so. Get your reading today, www.fullmoontarotreadings.net

Another Version of the High Priestess

THE TERRIFYING TOWER TAROT CARD

Here we have it. The card that looks dreadful. It's the dreaded Tower Card. It's absolutely interesting to look at this card. Lightning, fire, people falling to their death. If there was ever a card that no one should look forward to seeing in their reading, it's this one. But all cards, no matter how bad they can be, have a positive side. The Tower Card signifies destruction. Life as you once knew it will not be. A disaster is looming and you have no control over it. Like rain, you cannot stop it. It could mean divorce or health issues, if present with other cup cards. It could be a downfall in finances (loss of a job) if combined with the Pents. It could be anything. If in the present position in your reading, watch out. If in the future position you can try and prevent "the catastrophe". This is the card that can even mean the death of a loved one. And it could literally mean the destruction of a tower. I gave a reading right before 911. The person worked at the twin towers at the time and decided not to go to work that day. Intuition told her that something was looming, something dark and dreadful. And literally on 9 /11 towers did collapse.

THE MOON TAROT CARD

THE MOON TAROT CARD

When you look at the Moon Tarot Card you automatically feel confused and a bit unsettled. This is because this is the nature of the moon. The moon has been influencing our lives and surroundings forever. It effects everything from the weather to our sub conscience. This card is what all the crazy horror movies are made of. It's a full moon and suddenly the Wolf Man appears. Witches and warlocks dance and worship in moon light.

When you look at this card, you see a dog howling, a wolf ready to pounce and a path that leads to two towers. The path rises towards the towers. Present is also a sea creature emerging from the waters, a crab. LET'S NOT FORGET, HOWEVER, THAT THIS CARD REPRESENTS ILLUMINATION. We submerge from our sub conscience level, like the crab submerging from the waters) of being defeated and although things are confusing us, like the howling dog and the wolf on the other side, we must avoid distractions and continue on our path to a higher self. The moon is here to guide us to our destination. The Moon is a guiding light from distractions and delusions.

The Moon Tarot Card is like our mother. She illuminates our way. She reminds us to keep on track, the track that leads to the towers, to our destination. When the moon card appears in your reading, ask yourself these questions:

  • What am I allowing to distract me from my path?
  • Who or what am I allowing to sway my decision making?
  • Have I strayed from my path that will lead me to "the towers", my purpose?
  • Are your instincts on the right track?
So, when the Moon Tarot Card appears, you are probably feeling confused and you need the illumination of the moon to guide you. She is Mother Moon and she will.
